I'm excited to share some more of my upcycled home and lifestyle goodies!

This two seater with table and funky plush pillows @ R350
With a little help from my sunshine we re-created these crates previously used as milk carts into outdoor seating. Add some plush pillows and you have yourself a gathering.

 Pretty in pink @ R80
There is something about garlands that just brings preppy and garnished so well into any space or event. And they are so inexpensive but brings color anywhere. Still to post up some more flavours!

These are my recycled beer cans which i turned into herb plant containers which i keep on my kitchen windowsill. These are easy to make on your own and add a twist by adding your personal touch to them!

 Wooden table coasters @ R40each
I turned a tree trunk i found at my friends backyard that was laying there for decades and turned into "plate coasters". I use them as my coasters to serve with, a bedside table and in my bathroom to keep all my products on. Basically they can be used anywhere around the house.

Upcycled Tin cans

I came up with this idea when thinking of how to upscale my garden at an affordable rate and it still keeping to been both beneficial and chic for my kitchen windowsill, patio, dinner table; the best is picking out fresh harvest and adding them to your meal, and anywhere else where the suns rays in. I like everything even in its form of been functional than décor but it to still fit into the theme. As recycling been my backbone to most my designs thought why not turn tin cans which I had in abundance into pot plants, easier to drill into and effortless to the pocket, no budget needed. And to add personality into your life form I painted them in all walks of color adding delight to the home. Happy gardening!

Recycled glass bottles

I love this décor idea and I been a fan to anything upcycled, makes this eco-friendly trend fun, easy and filling for any home. I love to have guests over and parking outside in my backyard bringing love and wholesomeness and making it come alive. I collect a whole lot of bottles and use them for everything in my home like sauce bottles, candle holders, shampoo bottles and galore basically anything you need around your home. It’s a lot of fun making them fit into your everyday. My most favourite is using them on the dinner table bringing some romance and intimacy, slight french vintage.I add my favorite elements; bright ornaments of flowers and if you want to add an element into your under the stars dinner, add some candle lights. Enjoy living and dining!

By default I am influenced by industrial, quirky vintage with social humour and the world around me taking a bite from each experience.
I re-invented with the help of an article I found googling by 'Google' been my biggest source of reference; a modern and beneficial self sufficient culture easy to incorporate in any size home wherever you are on the globe and not only brings fresh harvest but life into your space.

I never in my wildest dreams grew up around a self sufficient system but grew into it as I became more aware and responsible for my family's welfare and the world that surrounds it, been aware of the lack of the earth’s resources and the circulating floods caused by the process and production we take to gain this resource is unbelievable.
Follow me on a journey creating and finding unique designs, finding new places, gaining inspiration from other designers and artists,  tasting new experiences and hearing new sounds and new innovations.

White makes room for Vintage

If you are a collector as I or just even a lover of anything vintage this space will work well with your home. This works well with small spaces which creates an illusion of a something bigger giving you more to play with and then balance it off by adding in a unique centre piece bringing in mass. White walls are proven to be ecologically beneficial especially for if you plan on growing indoors. You can easily make collecting vintage furniture a hobby and you can never plan what you will find just start off by visiting your local junkyards and garage sales, second hand shops, hospices and your antique stores. And I find treasure everywhere I go even just visiting family and friends. Splash your walls white and then invite in pieces that mark your space. Good luck!

Herb garden in your kitchen

Herbs can be ornamental and both practical, famously known for their fragrance, tasting good, and some are highly nutritious and their medicinal qualities. And growing some of your favourite culinary herbs in pots just steps away from your kitchen for easy harvesting is as easy as just starting. I love cooking for loved ones and there’s nothing like freshly harvested rosemary tossed in with roasted potatoes or chopped basil topping a bowl of pasta.

The convenience of harvesting your herbs seconds away from your kitchen, making cooking and entertaining a feast. It’s easy to get started; I read a lot into gardening and farming before I got the guts to start my own gardening and I started and still prefer indoor gardening or growing your herbs and vegetables in containers. Herbs adapt so well to containers that you can grow an impressive collection even if you have nowhere to garden but on a balcony or in a window box.

Keeping your climate in mind and determining your growing season, lighting and sun been  an essential at least a minimum of six hours, sufficient water, and containers with sufficient drainage, preferably organic potting soil and compost or any of the two. I collect my own containers and you can make your own containers out of anything like glass, cans, plastic bottles, tyres, crates, kitchenware whatever you can find, making your garden a prized jewel. To learn more check out Herb Gardening for Dummies; http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/herb-gardening-for-dummies-cheat-sheet.html for more tips and traits for all beginners. Eating straight from your garden is healthier, cheaper, and ecologically responsible. Happy living!

DesignIY curtains
My ideal home is just plain Jain with a splash of everything else collected and designing a home for me and others. Every home needs a personal signature if it’s your glass chandelier or even your welcome mat. DIY is fun to do and for some relaxing and been able to create whatever you can imagine all left to do is figure out how to make it come alive. I love fabric and my ability to sew I quickly came across choosing my own fabrics to incorporate in my home and they look great with your kitchen, bathroom and bath and shower curtains. It’s always fun walking into the fabric shop you will almost always find something.
